BATTERY: The Batteri
Why yes, Erik, we do still “do” battery photographs. It’s just been quite a while since we last got sent one, therefore it’s been a while since we last uploaded one, therefore it looks like we don’t do them any more, therefore people stop sending them in and opening Hotmail becomes slightly sadder with each passing day.
But we do. Thanks for breaking the circle.
“I hope you still do hi-res battery pictures. I found this one in the forest so naturally I took it home and photographed it for the Internet. ‘Batteri’ means ‘battery’ in Swedish, I’ll let you figure out the rest of the intricacies of this particular design yourself.”
“Apparently it can power old rubbish Palm Pilots and portable CD players that look sort of like robot monkeys (it has a face so is doubly relevant for your web blog) but not dustbins” – Erik.

I’m looking for an AA that can power a dustbin — anyone got any ideas?

Tch. It’s been quite a while since I last sent you one as you hadn’t used the last few I’d sent in. “You’re not getting any more til you’ve finished what you’ve got there”, as I say to the kids at the dinner table.
Along with “If you come down that chimney before it’s spotless I shall stick pins in your feet”
Nice battery though, don’t often see red and grey as a colour scheme, let alone metallic red and matt grey. Interesting.
Nice Photos too, really picks out the sparkliness of the red. Any EXIF data going?

I have an old Rover 214 which is metallic red and matt grey. It is not a battery though :-(

It’s great to know that there are two of us in Sweden. Almost enough for some sort of get-together, conference, piss-up.

It appears to also power cars, you might be able to power your matching Rover mr. Mouse.

Any Swedes in the audience know the Mercury content on this bad boy?

“Aldrig, I opened the end!”
Never open the end.

Sorry Idiot…close, but it means “never in open fire”. And Fテ・r inte laddas = not rechargeable.

And it doesn’t mention Mercury, so I’d guess that there isn’t any. Though, surprisingly, Sweden is less of a nanny state than UK, so it could be swimming in the stuff.

Jumping Jalapeテアos
They’ve certainly got larger 1.5v batteries than anyone in Europe.
