Pity the Hewlett Packard photographer
The fantastically well-resourced Hewlett Packard press archive is rammed with high-res photos of its products. The highlight is a fax machine that looks like a rabbit on the telephone.
There is no “lifestyle” section, though. The closest the photographer got to being allowed to take shots of a lady is taking shots of some colour print-outs of a lady as they come out of a printer. Poor photographer.
This one is called “Ink cartridges in printer”.
This one is “HP Photosmart D7560 on desk next to monitor and phone”. You can really see what the artist was trying to do.
This is “HP LaserJet 9040MFP with stacker/stapler next to staircase”. They should’ve also said it’s standing on some carpet, to show it’s equally at home resting on a wooden or synthetic base.
“HP Fax 640, with close-up of control panel with paper output, top” – looks like a rabbit on the telephone. He’s phoning ASDA to see if that BOGOF on 1kg packs of carrots is still going, and, if so, how many bags you’re allowed to have at once.
We’ll end with “HP 39gs Graphing Calculator on lab table”.

Sod the printers, i want one of those flippy-roundy phonebooks like in pic 2.
Anyone know where I could get one?
(Or at least know what they’re called other than “flippy-roundy phonebooks”)

Rolodex?

Although they usually do their flippy-roundy thing on a horizontal axis.

That LaserJet 9040MFP photo really is a thing of beauty.
Should be in the National Gallery or something

Yeah, I figured it wasn’t a rolodex as I thought they were all horizontal and boring – that’s all fun like some kind of steampunk carousel

Boo yah!
Should you wish to buy the exact same flippy-roundy phonebook used during this inspiring shoot, you can do so for US$50 from Pottery Barn.
(Failed search terms included ‘revolving book’ ‘carousel book’ and ‘flippy roundy book’. Failed products that you can nevertheless buy online include a shoe carousel – fun for all your footwear – and a revolving remote control caddy.)
Winning search term: ‘vertical rolodex’. Boring.

Nice, but where can you get one in the uk?
Also, apart from that page, can’t find it at the actual pottery barn site. God I’m useless at shopping.
