Gadgets with FACES #187: An unknown thing
Sent in by a “Ben” who didn’t even bother with any sort of accompanying explanation, apology, excuse or insult. It’s this sort of apathy that hurts the most.
The image is called “TS319_AV2″ which leads us to suspect it’s a redesigned 9 Walt Nail Gel UV Lamp (TS319). Although that’s is only our finest bit of Google journalism at work, so we may be wrong there.

Looks like some sort of radio or weirdly shaped htpc to me, is that an ethernet port on the front?
What are the ‘eyes’? Dials of some kind or holes for something to be inserted into? What you insert I guess depends on how exciting a product it actually turns out to be.

When are you finally “upping” that photo of my daughter’s loo seat, for Pete’s sake? Way better than at least the last 20 “updates” plus it’s a genuine face on a genuine inanimate object! Like Vanilla Ice!

I should imagine it’s the back of one of these chappies, no?

Maybe a cheaper, more entry level one to have all that nasty looking plastic, but you can definitely imagine that white text saying “Bowers and Wilkins” once you have the idea in your head…
Still, at £400 for an iPod speaker, even entry level’s going to break the bank…

Yes, it is B&W Zeppelin.

How clueless one can be to buy this rugby ball?
For the money you could buy very decent gear of HiFi receiver/amplifier and loudspeakers, connect your iToy/player/cellphone to it and get a blast, both in quality and quantity.

Yeah, it is a zeppelin. I did mean to accompany it with insults, but I clearly failed in the manner of a middle aged lady who works in an office and forgets to attach the file and then sends it again another 15 times in vary states of completedness…

Oh, and i looked and you’ve already used it…

A secondary check has revealed my email contained this text:
This is the back of the Zeppelin Ipod dock. It also looks like a face. I understand you enjoy this sort of thing?
Cheers,
Ben

Bollocks to that. Didn’t a Who member build his own speakers out of a wardrobe? I miss that type of creativity these days…
