@marimo: I work in game dev, and I’m currently trying to learn to love the iThings range. It’s not working so far. Grudging acceptance tempered by frequent irritation and continued contempt for Apple Corp is about where I’m at. Pretty much where I was at before I got a free iPhone, in fact.

It has got a very nice screen. I’ll give it that.

@ GigerPunk: The photo was processed through one of the many iPhone apps designed to try and make you forget how low res your pics are compared to everyone else’s modern phone’s, by applying a variety of “arty” effects to them. I must admit the novelty of these neat little apps means it is actually working on me.

When your iPhone is full of pictures you have to take it in to an Apple Store where they’ll print them out for you at £5 per photo.

What’s with the fake film effect around the edges?
Is that something all iphones do by default or something added for our benefit?
The flash is a bit harsh but I quite like the effect.
Concerned about the smoke in the background though, looks very ominous(if a bit X-files-y).
