The Nokia N72 is the one that's for girls

And possibly gay media workers who upload 4.2GB of photos of their cats to Flickr every day, but let's not start that again.

Nokia N-Series N72

It's a photo of girl. Your BEST FRIEND, who you've just been SHOPPING with and eaten some CAKE with on the way home! Maybe you'll watch Sex in the City later, while talking about how horrible men are!

Nokia N-Series N72

Listed below are all the features you won't be able to understand how to use:

EDITED BITS OF THE PRESS RELEASE, BECAUSE A WHOLE ONE IS TOO MUCH:

In pearl pink or gloss black, this compact package has high-perfomance multimedia at its core, wrapped in a beautiful design. The Nokia N72 offers the benefits of versatile photography, entertainment and personal productivity to people who value style as much as high performance.

The Nokia N72 allows you to tailor your multimedia device to match your interests, whether music, imaging or entertainment content, all in a stylish design you will be proud to own.

We drew on the relationship people have with things that inspire great performances, like the world's finest grand piano or the perfect handcrafted writing pen. We wanted to play with contrast and detail to create drama within the product - and the end result is a beautiful device that creates its own signature at the same time that it draws you in.

The pearl pink and gloss black versions of the Nokia N72 have digital textures on the back, which personalize the device. "The overall design makes a strong statement for the Nokia N72 as a multimedia computer, but the digital textures, or graphics, on the back add a subtlety of personal ownership, that it is my device," Sermon adds.

Kneel before your new Syncmaster

The SyncMaster745MS is a CRT monitor, only using some alternate system thing called CDT so it's a bit smaller. We're only mentioning it because of the HOT PROMOTIONAL PHOTOGRAPH:

Women holding their flowers apart

Beautiful work by Samsung Chief Executive of Global Product Display Yun-Chi Wang (left) and her assistant Lin Heng. Colour-coordinated clothing, lovely smiles, immaculate nails - and the planning that went into that flower arrangement beggars belief.

Samsung 'Skin' apparently

They're modelling the Samsung 'Skin'. Which is a phone, probably with a camera.

OTHER THINGS THE PHONE PROBABLY HAS:
  • Some memory
  • Number storage facility
  • Rechargeable battery (10,000,000 hours standby*)
  • Microphone for voice chat
  • Calendar
  • MMS (text) messaging
  • Preset ringing alert tones

The Nokia N93 is about films

It's about films, because it can record movies.

    Nokia N-Series N93

You can also hold the N93 a bit like you'd hold a camcorder, and Nokia's given Gary Oldman lots of money to make a short film on it. Other than that, it's just a phone with a camera on it.

    Nokia N-Series N93

They might as well just SAY they're going all-out for the home pornography market, and get Kate from Kate's Playground to make a movie on it. That's the real reason 3G exists.

Rubbish World Cup tie-in #1: Toshiba Dynabook TX/870LS

Think football, think Toshiba 1.66-GHz Intel Core Duo T2300 CPU with 512MB of memory, 15.4-inch WXGA display with Clear SuperView, 80GB hard drive, DVD Super Multi drive (DVD±R DL), 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi, 4-in-1 memory card reader, USB 2.0 ports, FireWire port and Windows XP Home.

Toshiba Dynabook TX/870LS FIFA World Cup edition laptop

That case is gold, too, which will really help it get stolen. It's the Toshiba Dynabook TX/870LS FIFA World Cup edition laptop. They're only making 600 of them, which is some sort of good news.

    Panasonic's Blu-Ray writer

Great news. The technology no one wants is getting nearer. Blu-Ray -- which many observers are saying is equally as pointless as HD-DVD -- is nearly here. Panasonic's Blu-Ray writer will be out in June, for something stupid like $800 (not a joke price, that's the actual price).

    Panasonic Blu-Ray writer

But it won't play movies. That requires "special software" apparently. It's pointless. The future does not lie in discs designed to not work unless you've got the right kind of cable and TV.

    IT CAN:
  • Read BD, DVD and CD

  • Write BD-R, BD-RE, DVD±R/RW, DVD-RAM and CD-R/RW.

An entirely justified photo of a woman

She's using the Datel Communicator, a headset thing for the Nintendo DS. It's a rubbish photo. A half-smile and no eye-contact, the bitch is phoning this performance in from her ivory fucking tower. They should've flown over a couple of hot Korean chicks. They only cost 50p a day and always give you a 'happy ending'.

    Datel Communicator for Nintendo DS

Now even DS games can be ruined by having to talk to people and listen to people :(

    THE PRICE:
    Ten quid.

A little MPEG4 recorder for PSP

A little MPEG4 recorder that can rip stuff from TV, camcorder, DVD player and satellite outputs, then whack it all on a Memory Stick for you in PSP-friendly MPEG4 format.

    Neuros Video Recorder

It comes with an "AV/RCA" cable, which means it records in shitty low-res composite video. Still, it'll do. Not quite as good as downloading things off the internet for free, but still quite nice.

    THE STUPID THINGS ABOUT IT:
  • That remote control
  • It costs £149

    Woman AMAZED by computer

Not only that, but a computer that's showing football! This is the best pretend-amazed acting we've ever seen.

    LG LW25 ultra-portable laptop

It's an LG laptop. One that LG calls the LG LW25. It's dual-core, has a 12.1" widescreen screen, and can almost certainly go on the internet.

OTHER THINGS IT CAN PROBABLY DO:

    - Let you stalk women on MySpace

    - Leave an incriminating history file of all the porn you've downloaded for your mum to find after you die

    - Stop working because of a virus

    - Not play the particular format of movie you've just downloaded

    - Get stolen

    The iRiver E10 MP3 thing

Kind of pretty. 6GB, 1.5" colour screen for playing porn on if you've got good eyes, and it looks cool without being by Apple.

    iRiver E10

Fortunately, we're so stuck in our ways that we only ever listen to three albums from 1995. And we're bored of them now so there's no need to buy portable music players. Quids in! More money for reality-numbing drugs and trainers!

The only fluid this will get splashed on it is student DJ/web designer spunk:

    ZipConnect iPod iSplash

It's the ZipConnect iSplash, a sort of waterproof iPod case with speakers, so you can play your stupid fucking bootleg mashups in everyone's face. All the time. Even at the beach. Great.
