Including the AMAZING HUGE LIE about PCs needing to be restarted and Macs never needing to be restarted. This is just a lie. Plain and simple. Macs crash. In our experience more than PCs.

I'm terribly confused by this post. How can you compare Political correctness to a kagool? My rain coat has never needed to be restarted. I wouldn't even know where to begin if it ever did need to be restarted. I only wear it because it's long enough to cover my naked body when i'm out in the park*

Using a mouse to point at icons on a screen is easier on a PC, too. As is looking at a list of files.
I've often though of getting a Mac. I like the creamy white colour as it might not show the "stains" quite as much as much as the Dell black.......
If these idiots would at least have the brains to enable these videos in WMV or something. "Get Quicktime!" NO! I WON´T GET QUICKTIME because I hated it everytime I got it. If they really want me to "change", why should I need to download some weird-ass player I´ll never use again just to watch those damn commercials?
And besides, a friend got a Mac recently and everytime he´s got a problem noone can help him because nobody knows how Macs work. All I can think of when I see a Mac is the weird way you eject a CD (I looked for a button for 5 minutes), this shitty one-button mouse (just because they are too stubborn to go with the times) and those annoying bouncing symbols.
Fuck yeah, I hate Macs, but for far better reasons than people hate windows. And if you REALLY want to be different, you just use Linux. Oh, it doesn´t come in a creamy white box with buttons and windows covered in vaseline? Too bad. Macs are for show-offs.

Regarding the twattiness of Mitchell v Webb - funnily enough it's the same with the original adverts. John Hodgman, who plays the PC, is the genius who wrote The Areas Of My Expertise, while Justin Long, the Mac, is exactly the kind of irritating whiny git who really does use a Mac.
PS. I use a Mac but I don't do any real work on it, I just use it as a screensaver and paperweight, and to make women think I have a sensitive and caring side.

then u have to spend loads on software cos there are no cracks.
then the mainboard goes and apple want £700 to fix it but the computer is now only worth £400 quid.

My employers have bought so heavily into the Mac lifestyle that they would look right twats if they considered buying into Windows - so I have to spend all day trying to find mac compatable versions of programs that understand how to open half the bloody files clients send me whilst they dribble over the new issue of 'maclife' and try to justify spending a fuckfull of money on mediocre laptops!

Before I used windows because it seemed like the sensible choice.
If you want to run mostly commercial software (which I do), you use the OS that businesses write desktop software for. Rather than say amiga/mac/vxworks/whatever.
Just like if you want to run mostly open source software (a reasonable choice). You use the OS that people write open source software for, ie linux.
Not any more though. Now I use windows because I hate Apple.

I hate them for suggesting that windows is for boring work stuff, unlike macs. In the SAME series of adverts where they point out that they both run MS Office.

Macs are the bane of all existence. If the world didn't have Macs then there would be peace in the middle east. There would be no pollution. People would matter-transport to work and everyone would enjoy frequent sex with their 10 wives. Life would be complete and there would be no need to stay up till 4am on a Friday night ham fisting your man-meat at lolita porn and weeping hot shameful tears onto the PC keyboard all the while cursing the very existence of Apple.
I miss the old days when life was innocent and we talked about photocopiers and thing-holding and guilt-free wanking. But then Apple came along with its trendy young computers and tore us apart and now here we are. "Hot shameful tears" indeed. I thought we were strong enough to weather a crisis like this. Where did it all go so wrong?
Macs are terrible. We all know it, so let's just get it out there in the open. They are over priced, stupidly animated, feature poor lumps of tosh. I find the only thing that a Mac is any good for is holding down a small>medium pile of papers in a light breeze. Failing that, they are useless. Having been designed for the Norf Laandan massiv, with their square glasses and fat (phat?) tie knots they love 'em. To the rest of us, who don't feck about all day polishing our powerbooks in the bog at lunchtime to prepare for a meeting later with some sort of wanky 'brand consultant', they're shite.
My PC might be a bit shit and long in the tooth now, but at least it can play .WMV and .MPGs without the display turning into a blank green box like when those shitty Quicktime movies are on. Actually I take that back about my PC. It's fucking great. After watching the first of those awful adverts, it refused to show the others, thus saving me from watching some of the most smug and annoying bullshit commercials I'm ever likely to see in my life. As much as I hate to say this, it's evident you've never looked at the range of Mac's it advertises.
They're all on the same Intel DC tech that the PC's are running. MacOS and Windows only really differ on the simplicity and software compatability area now, certainly now Windows is copying the OSX interface...which came out about 5/6 years ago. Hell if 5 year olds can "share" music microsoft can "share" other peoples designs. Infact the only real MS and OSX difference nowadays is the amount of virus' Windows can be infected with. And most people have a decent antivirus so that still isn't a problem.
Mac vs PC is like comparing Windows 98 to MacOS 8.1 - Old, irrellavent and pointless.

What I hate about Apple is that people go on about them like they are some sort of global creative force for good/hippie commune when in fact they could teach Microsoft a thing or two about vendor lock in, built in obsolescence and fleecing the customer. In fact Jobs makes Gates look like Gandhi by comparison.
I've never really forgiven Apple for forcing Adobe to drop the SGI versions of Photoshop and Illustrator because "Boo Hoo people might buy SGIs instead of Macs"
And yes Intel Macs still crash just like their 68K and PowerPC predecessors.

Had horrible experiences with macs & pc's btw, but at least no pc company (to my knowledge) have to slag off other types of computer to try and sell them... mind you even if they did... bloke in suit Vs Chav would work quite well ;)
