I have a current project at home of mounting my new flat TV on the wall (it's small by modern standards, I'm not showing off).
I tell what I've learnt is missing from every TV promotional shot I've ever seen: THE FUCKING WIRES. It would be EASY to make it all look lovely if it wasn't for the miles and fucking miles of FUCKING WIRES.
Badben, FPTV's are meant to me wall-mounted in new build homes only. The accepted technique is this:
1) simply punch a whole through your paper-thin wall;
2) apologise briefly to the couple next door who, you notice with a raised eyebrow, are taking turns to piss all over each other on a Twister mat;
3) ask them politely if you can run your leads and power cable through the hole into their living room;
4) threaten to blackmail their watersporting arses if they refuse.
Hey presto! A tasteful, neat installation and you don't even have to pay for the electricity.
