Gadgets with FACES#94: A bit of the Large Hadron Collider

The purpose of the LHC revealed - it's beaming trillions of gadget faces around in a big circle. The core of the machine seems to be constructed entirely of faces - there are at least seven clearly visible pairs of eyes.

Congratulations, science!

Spray your particles ALL OVER MY MOUTH AND FACE

"I went to a thing about CERN's Large Hadron Collider yesterday (because I really know how to treat a woman), and therein I saw this cross-section of the main dipole. It clearly has a face, and even a moustache plaque. Imagine that friendly face guiding protons around a 27km ring at 0.9999999 times the speed of light! Also, had I realised it was so reflective I would have been naked, like in the hilarious early days of the internet" - James.

I've always known that I'm a big fan of the LHC, but not quite why... UNTIL NOW.

Excellent face. That face, according to the tabloids, is the split second start of the 'amazement and wonder' expression because it's looking at the black hole it's just created. The picture must have been taken about 8 femtoseconds before the start of spaghettification.

I wonder if the LHC "ring" is in fact just the outer boundary of an even larger face?

Makes me think of Sergeant Major Zero from Terrahawks - Time for an updated cgi version? Pretty much one of the few kids shows not raped, sorry, updated and improved yet

coastsky = a blue coat? or a Russian coast?

Talking about kids shows being raped, this looks like it would be a character out of 'Thomas the Tank Engine Extreme TrainTrack Task Force', where Thomas and friends have to save the world from invading alien trains, hell bent on taking over our railways with comfy, spacious and clean carriages.

Thomas and friends would of course be teenagers, one of them would be a sexy pink train called Carla.

They'd morph into cars when confronting the enemy.

They could use Mohinder from Heroes to do the voice-over.

I like where this is going...

"Thomas the Tank Engine Extreme TrainTrack Task Force" - I would watch that.

Would there be a monorail?
